It is our great pleasure to invite you to the upcoming the International Symposium Marine Genomics that is organized by the National Institute of Genetics (NIG) and the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST), and is supported by International Union of Biological Sciences (IUBS). This international symposium is the last one in a series of seven international symposia celebrating Charles Darwin's bicentenary jubilee since his birth.
The study of marine genomics will continue to grow in significance for both the academic and industrial realms. The importance of the oceans is clear for practical concerns relating to environmental conservation.
