Research Associate / Research Assistant at the University of Rostock 
The Systems Biology & Bioinformatics group (www.sbi.uni-rostock.de) at the University of Rostock has an opening for a postdoctoral researcher and/or graduate student (aiming for a PhD).
The ideal candidate should have a background in mathematics or physics (with a strong interest in interdisciplinary research) or experience in the field of systems biology.
Although there are no pre-specified research objectives (details can be adjusted to the applicant's interests), the work should focus on either nonlinear dynamics, stochastic modelling, or system identification, relevant to applications in molecular & cell biology (cell signalling, gene expression, regulatory networks).

The University post involves four hours of teaching per week during the
semester and is paid according to the academic salary scales at German
