Senior Research Position in Systems Biology analysis of the Hypoxic Response in Stem Cells. closed

We are seeking a Senior Researcher with four or more years postdoctoral experience in biochemistry/pharmacology/physiology/cell biology or related disciplines. The successful candidate will have an excellent track record of publications in top quality international journals and demonstrable leadership skills. In addition to lab based studies, the candidate will be expected to take a lead role in the mentorship and support of postgraduate students.

The post will involve close collaboration with Prof. Cormac Taylor in a study aimed at using a systems biology approach to understanding how hypoxia impacts upon key decision making processes in stem cells. An in depth understanding of the biology of hypoxia and/or stem cell differentiation will be an advantage. The project is a component of Systems Biology Ireland, a multidisciplinary initiative which presents a unique opportunity for creative individuals who want to work at the cutting-edge of systems biology.
