POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS IN THEORETICAL BIOPHYSICS
Department of Health and Human Services
National Institutes of Health
National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute
Postdoctoral positions are immediately available in the Theoretical Cellular Physics Section of
Computational Biology Laboratory at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, National
Institutes of Health, Department of Health and Human Services, Bethesda, MD. Applicants
should have Ph.D. in theoretical chemistry, physics, applied math or engineering. Candidates
with strong computational skill and theoretical modeling experiences are highly desirable.
Projects would utilize sophisticated statistical mechanics techniques to investigate
mechanochemical couplings in various cellular processes, including membrane mechanics,
cytoskeleton dynamics and reaction networks. All the projects would be in extensive and close collaborations with experiments. For more information, see:
http://www.lobos.nih.gov/tcps/index.shtml
Appointment and salary are dependent on experience. Applicants should submit, in a PDF file, a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, and the names of three individuals willing to provide letters of reference to: Dr. Jian Liu at liuj7 [at] mail.nih.gov
